The included Sunday strips were reprinted in color in The Authoritative Calvin and Hobbes, as well as the recently released The Complete Calvin and Hobbes.

The title of the book comes from an included story arc in which Calvin decides to run away to the Yukon territory.

Tying in with the aforementioned arc, Yukon Ho! includes the orginal poem "The Yukon Song"
