The 'woods behind Calvin's house expand over about 15 acres. Some of this area was destroyed when part of the forest was clear-cut to make way for a new development of condominiums. It is in this forest that Calvin's wagon often crashes over conveniently-placed cliffs. There are a few rivers and creeks, including Hobbes Creek, a creek named and discovered by Hobbes.
