Calvin asking his dad to build the tiger pit
The Tiger Pit, not the one at the zoo, is briefly referenced in a strip. Calvin comes home from school and once again, is pounced by Hobbes. His mom sees Calvin all dirty and she asks the wrong question, "What did you do, step on a land mine?". And then Calvin says "When's dad ever going to build that tiger pit I keep asking him about?".
