The Days are Just Packed (ISBN 0836217357), written on the cover as "The Days are Just Packed", is the eighth Calvin and Hobbes printed collection. It was released in 1993 by Andrews & McMeel and collects the strips published April 11 to May 4, 1991, (when the first sabbatical started) and February 2 to November 1, and November 8, 1992. It is the first Calvin and Hobbes book in 11 inch wide format. Due to the format switch it is the first Calvin and Hobbes book to display the Sunday strips horizontally and the daily strips are printed slightly larger than in The Complete Calvin and Hobbes hardcover collection.

The title comes from a comic strip in which Calvin says to Hobbes, "The days are just packed."

It seems that the art on front cover may NOT be in The Complete Calvin and Hobbes hardcover.
