Description

It was released in October 1991 by Andrews & McMeel and collects the strips published from September 1989 to July 7, 1990. The included Sunday strips were reprinted in color in The Indispensable Calvin and Hobbes and The Complete Calvin and Hobbes.

The title of the book comes from a comic out of the included Duplicator story arc, in which Hobbes is surprised to find that a machine geared for scientific progress would make a "boink" sound while operating.
