The Salamander Incident was like the Noodle Incident, an unknown event which Calvin is blamed for.

The only time the incident is mentioned.

Significance and Role

Possibly the Salamander Incident

It was referred to in a single weekday strip, which predates the introduction of the Noodle Incident. As such, it is even more mysterious than its counterpart. Unlike with the Noodle Incident, Calvin openly admits he was the perpetrator, albeit protesting loudly: "Temporary insanity! That's all that was!". Both incidents might either be related or the same.[1] There was also a strip four days prior involving him trying to surprise his dad, only for him to blow it by saying "Uh oh. Hang on, he got away." This may be the Salamander Incident as well.
