Safari Al was perhaps the most obscure of Calvin's alter egos. Safari Al appeared on April 2, 1986 in a one-joke strip involving Calvin's room resembling a jungle. In it, Calvin himself took on the Safari Al persona, while his mom took on the persona of a large, King Kong-like simian. It's line was "clean your room". Calvin responds with a "what?". And Mom replies "You heard me! It's a jungle in here!".
