The book is likely named so because in the final strip, Calvin says ''"It's a magical world, Hobbes, ol' buddy...let's go exploring!''" after acknowledging that there was a huge snowfall in the woods. It finished with him and Hobbes sliding away on Calvin's sled and into the world marking the end of the Calvin and Hobbes series and that it was a magical world in which Bill Watterson drew.
