Dopey Dad was a comic strip created for Calvin's household newspaper. The script was written by Calvin, while the artwork was handled by Hobbes. [1] It was based directly off Calvin's father, as Calvin asked him if he wished to be the subject of the strip or pay $15 for "labor and production costs."
