Calvin appeared as a crocodile alter ego in a single weekday strip. In it, he snuck up on a hippopotamus, as an analogy to Calvin attacking his father at the pool.
The aforementioned strip contained two inaccuracies; first, the crocodile was incorrectly claimed to live in the amazon river of South America, which only contains caimans. Second, the hippopotamus only lives in Africa.
