Calvin the God

Calvin the God is a minor alter ego of Calvin's. It appeared in a single Sunday strip.

Role

Calvin compared his creative powers to godhood while playing with Tinkertoys.

Calvin the God 2

Calvin the God "[created] the universe with pure will", giving matter and life to what was previously void. However, as "one of the old gods" and "a god of the underworld", he was displeased when his creations neglected to offer him sacrifice, and doomed the inhabitants of Earth to a life of agony.

In The Calvin and Hobbes Tenth Anniversary Book, Watterson explains how "the format [for Sunday comics] ruined what [he] had in mind" for that particular strip.
