Calvin's yard is the area made up of the front and back yards of Calvin's house. The front yard ends with the sidewalk, and the much larger back yard with the Woods.
The yard is usually used by Calvin to play sports such as baseball, football, Calvinball and (once) croquet. Calvin makes almost all of his snowmen in his yard, whether it be the back or the front; the exceptions were when he built the hill snowman and a generic snowman in his own room. He also constructed the Snow Dinosaur there around the house. There is a lake in the woods where Calvin occasionally fishes, swims, or hunts for frogs. Calvin also enjoys riding his sled or wagon down hills and cliffs.
