The bed making robot was a robot which Calvin and Hobbes designed to help make their bed. It was made out of what appeared to be tinker toys with a can for a head.
Calvin and Hobbes never managed to control it to make their bed, eventually failing to do so by the end of the day. They discovered their bed already made by then; though it was most likely one of Calvin's parents making it for him while they constructed the robot.
