An alien is a being originating form another planet. During the Calvin and Hobbes series, both main characters have tried to meet aliens, which they accomplish multiple times. In story arcs about Spaceman Spiff, Calvin's alter ego comes into contact with aliens in almost every strip. However, Calvin himself is occasionally involved with the extraterrestrials such as Nebular and Galaxoid.
